Where are you now in the lifecycle of your business?

After 7+ years of running a personal styling consultancy, I’m currently ‘starting a fresh’ as my own personal journey has led me to exactly where I need and want to be in terms of my purpose and who I love to work with, so I’m currently re-launching. Very exciting!!

Where do you plan to be in five years time?

In five years I plan to be a world renowned name in styling, body-confidence and positive self-belief transformation, along with the launch of my own clothing label. I will be travelling the world and helping as many women as is humanly possible to love themselves and love their style – I have oodles of energy and a HUGE vision!

What motivated you to start your business?

Originally I was motivated to start my business to be self-employed and free from corporate rules. As it turned out my mission, or purpose if you like, turned out to be far more profound than anything I could have ever imagined. As a survivor of infant sexual abuse, a childhood filled with abuse and neglect, a stint in foster care, living on my own at 16, homeless more times than I can count on one hand, and some serious body confidence issues combined with chronic low self-esteem, and having overcome all of that by learning what works and what doesn’t, I feel deeply qualified and ‘called’ to help other women of similar backgrounds find the love within themselves, so they too can move forward and pass it on.

What have been your most difficult challenges so far?

The most difficult challenges I have come across, up until summer of 2017, have been my own self-sabotage, as we all can do. The only other challenge has been finding someone to help me develop my core message and translate that to good old fashioned copywriting so I can reach the right women and inspire them to come work with me. Marketing, and specifically copywriting, is the core of any business. Get it wrong and it’s tumbleweed all the way back to square one. Get it right, and the sky’s the limit!

What have been your most satisfying highs?

My most satisfying highs have been watching the penny drop in the eyes of my clients to witness the instant transformation in their beliefs and ways of thinking about themselves. It moves me to tears, always, because I know how powerful those epiphanies are!

How do you let off steam/relax

How do I let off steam and relax – Netflix! I’m obsessed with The Crown and Reign. I’m also crazy about history, especially Royal history.

What are the most valuable tools you use to communicate with your clients?

My most valuable tools to communicate with my clients are closed and secret Facebook groups and Facebook live videos. It’s the most personal, easily accessible and efficient way to help them succeed. I love it!!

What’s your personal motto?

My personal Moto is: Like Attracts Like… Every. Single. Time. Without. Exception. All my work, my personal beliefs, my own life outlook, my values, how I think, behave and relate come from this one statement.

Pick one person (male or female) who has inspired you most on your journey?

Elizabeth 1st. She’s my ultimate icon. A strong, independent woman, who fought not only to rule but more importantly be respected and idolised in a ‘man’s’ world by men as much as women. Fulfilled her destiny as she dreamed it for herself (she is reported as knowing it was her destiny to become Queen since being a child). A genius at personal branding and self-promotion, creating a killer iconic image that transcended her lifetime. As women, we could all learn from her.

Pick one person who would be your dream business or life mentor?

I would have to pick myself as my dream life mentor. No one is more dedicated and passionate about my personal and professional success than me. No one is more determined to help me succeed than me. When the chips have been down and I’ve contemplated leaving this world early when the situation has become unbearable, it has been me, and only me that has talked myself around. I’ve been the only one there to pick myself up, believe in myself when no one else would, and carry on. At the end of the day, the only one we can ever truly rely upon is ourselves. To look to others for the answers and action is to give away our power. We may not always realise it in the moment, but as women, we are stronger than that.

Why is being part of a membership organisation like The Goddess Formula (ie. creating a likeminded business support community) important to you?

Its important to be part of a community like The Goddess Formula because women are/ will be the saviours of this world, and unless we pull together and champion one another in business and help each other succeed, I’m afraid this world is doomed. Look what the men have done so far in the name of business – profit in King. The human is a tool only. A matriarchal society is always a better run operation. And more women are needed in business and to run business. Women are indestructible in their own right… imagine what we can do together!! We have the power and intelligence to get into office, run businesses and demand change to laws and social ‘norms’ that are harming not only women and girls, but men and boys too. The more we have communities like The Goddess Formula, the more we can pull resources together to create a revolution to make positive changes to this world. It is important to remember, however, not to alienate the men from the conversation or challenge. There is never any good to come from the ‘divide and conquer’ concept… ever! United we Stand. Divided we Fall. I vote for UNITED. My vision always includes men.
